By accessing or using BudgetIt ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
BudgetIt is a personal finance management application that helps users track spending, create budgets, and manage household finances. The Service includes features such as:
- Bank account connection and transaction syncing
- Budget creation and tracking
- AI-powered transaction categorization
- Household member management
3. Account Registration
To use the Service, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities that occur under your account.
4. Subscription and Billing
Some features of the Service require a paid subscription. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to:
- Pay all applicable fees as described at the time of purchase
- Provide valid payment information
- Authorize recurring charges until you cancel
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal. Refunds are handled in accordance with our refund policy.
5. Bank Account Connections
The Service uses third-party providers (such as Teller) to connect to your financial institutions. By connecting your bank accounts, you authorize us to access your financial data for the purpose of providing the Service. We do not store your bank login credentials.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Share your account with others
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code
7. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by BudgetItand are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.BUDGETIT IS NOT A FINANCIAL ADVISOR AND DOES NOT PROVIDE FINANCIAL ADVICE.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BUDGETIT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
10. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
